With 18 years of homeschooling multiple grade levels among my six children, one knows that you cannot possibly be with every child all at once.

Of course, you develop routines. You schedule time with each child. You create group lessons when possible. You teach your children how to work independently.

But even with a good routine in place, there are still times when one child simply needs more of your attention than their scheduled time allows.

That is where the ๐Œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐’๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ within my planner has come into play.

Our homeschool combines hands-on textbook-style learning with independent digital learning, and I have found that having a local online messaging system within the plannerโ€™s student portal allows both parent and child to communicate more efficiently when help is needed.

It gives my children a way to reach out without interrupting another lesson, and it gives me a way to respond when I am able.
